Default New York airport jets 'directed by child'

 
 


There seems to have been a mixed reaction to this. In my view it's simply crazy!

Do they still use those little tin planes to direct traffic as opposed to computers?

As in that move - I think it was called 'shifting tin' or something...

They use both in case the computers fail.

Looks like a case of "bring your child to work". The person in charge was still a certified controller and not the child. I can see though with the high degree of professionalism required why it would cause concern.
